The Coin Project
In various corners of my apt and my car I have fistfulls of coins. One weekend this month I'm going to gather them all up in my red Piggy Bank and take them down to my credit union. I'll take the total amount I've netted and throw to it towards my Capital One Gold card.
A long time ago, when I wasn't as financially screwed and actually had a savings acct, I used to round up all my check and debit card purchases to the dollar and write that amt in a check to myself. Some months I had like 5 buck and others I had almost $20. I did that b/c I always heard about pocketing your change but since I really don't spend cash, that was my way of making it happen.
One day in the not so distant future, I'm going to pick up that habit again. *sigh*
