Reward Me

I know, I know, negative 40g's net worth, and I'm already looking for a reward. Indulge me...

The seminar I attended earlier this month made a really good point. You can't, or shouldn't, live your life in misery when paying off debt. It's not a good idea to get into more debt as a reward, instead, you save up some of the extra cash you were paying for a bill, and use that to reward yourself. So every few months, or every major accomplishment, live it up a little.

Here's my plan.

Since I plan to knock out the lesser 3 cards fairly soon, and I did do myself a disservice from all the progress I made earlier this year, my first reward will be when ALL credit cards are paid off. And it was easy to figure, I Love LOve LOVE! movies. Two of my favorite movies from this year were Inside Man (Thank you lord for Clive Owen) and V for Vendetta. I have a few more DVDs on my wish list I can treat myself too as well.

A fairly inexpenisve reward right? One DVD for each paid off card.

Then b/c it'll take that much longer to get thru the next debt, I'll come up w/4 more rewards for each loan pay off. I know for sure my when I am completely debt free, I'm treating myself to a 7 day cruise!

YaY!
