A bit at a time

So it was/is really hard for me to clear out monies to pay off my credit cards. I knew I'd do it, but I was very reluctant. I much rather have the money sit there so I can look @ it...just in case...*shrug*

So for this final pay off, I had to play a game w/myself so it wouldn't feel as overwhelming.

Every other day I'd transfer a set amount of $'s into my checking account and then the next morning, pay that same amount to the card.

It also helped spur me to action the day I saw the monthly on that $3000 balance was costing me each month, $45-$55! :O

vs.

The piddling $2.50-$5.00/quarter in the savings account.

That really what tipped the scales so to speak.

Besides, w/Capital One having a slogan of "What's in your wallet?"

At the end of this year, I'd like to smirk back, "Cold. Hard. Cash."

Wonder if that one will win me any contests.

lol
