Day 2

Daily Spending Report 5/2

Soda: $.75 - Want - I am a BIG water drinker, but all week have had trouble sleeping, leaving me to feel so groggy in the afternoon. I had a lot to do and when it gets hot, my throat craves cold drinks, I drink my agua room temp, I got a pop.

Total Spent: $.75

Truth be told, I felt a bit silly wasting spending almost $15 in one day on food and snacks, so I was very mindful to NOT spend unnecessary money today. Matter of fact, I had an urge to eat out for lunch, despite taking in a frozen dinner, and @ the last minute just ate that.

Another aspect to this exercise is differentiating between wants and needs. Yesterday I tagged lunch as both, but today I realized, it was a want. I had food to eat so I didn't need to go out and buy anything. I confused the fact that I was already hungry and a human must eat to live, to justify that I ate out.

Going forward I'm going to be more stingy in how I dish out needs. Needs will be things key to my survival, like rent and wants are anything above basic living, like the wireless internet added to my rent payment.
