Thrown off

I mentioned a few weeks back I am now working for another company (job #1/main gig). Well they cut checks days later than I normally get paid. Instead of the 15th and the end of the month, it's now the 5th and the 19th and while it shouldn't those extra 5 days throws so many things out of synch. For instance, my car loan is due on the 4th.

The way I had my bills being paid, the check on the 1st took care of rent and car loan. The check on the 15th took care of every other bill. Most of them due towards the end of the month and by the time the 1st rolled around and my funds dried up, payday kicked in again.

Now, this being my first check w/them as of the 19th of this month. I had to wait almost 3 weeks since my last check was the end of September and I just can't figure a system to get things running smoothly again. Granted it's only been one check and I should chill and *if* I'm on a budget and have already alloted $xx for xx bill, it shouldn't matter what time of the month I get paid, but for some reason it still does.

I think it's b/c the check on the 19th now feels like the check I should use for rent and car, paying them well in advance, and then the check on the 5th should now be used for every other bill. Matter of fact, now that I typed that all out, I think that'll work best for me.
